Washington, DC – On Thursday, September 27, the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) and its member firms will lead the fourth annual #AuditorProud social media blitz. The global campaign is aimed at informing students and young professionals of the many benefits of a career in audit.
Under the #AuditorProud banner, auditors around the world will take to social media to share personal stories of why they chose a career in public company auditing, what they love about the profession, and what makes them proud to be an auditor.
“#AuditorProud day helps raise awareness of the important work auditors do on behalf of investors and our capital markets every day,” said CAQ Executive Director Cindy Fornelli. “As the profession continues to integrate exciting technologies and new approaches to fulfilling its mission of building confidence and trust, audit firms will need to attract and retain the best and the brightest to its ranks.”
As part of the #AuditorProud festivities, the CAQ also invites high school and college students who are interested in audit careers to participate in the #FutureAuditor contest. Students can upload a creative #FutureAuditor selfie on social media to earn prizes.
More details on the blitz, as well as resources for auditors, educators, and high school and college students, are available at DiscoverAudit.org/auditor-proud/.
