Media Advisory: CAQ’s Eighth Annual Main Street Investor Survey

Monday, October 6, 2014

WHATA new survey from the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) shows surging investor confidence in U.S. capital markets, stock exchanges, and public companies. Cindy Fornelli, the Executive Director of the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ), will highlight these findings from the CAQ’s Eighth Annual Main Street Investor Survey. Conducted since 2007, the annual poll measures retail investor confidence in U.S. capital markets, global capital markets, and audited financial information, as well as investing in publicly traded companies. This year’s report contains many interesting findings in these categories and more. The theme of the 2014 survey is risk. In addition to discussing core confidence measures, Fornelli will detail which industries investors perceive as the safest, what they view as the greatest risks to their investment portfolio, and what this all could mean for the future of capital markets.
