Andrew T. Gillies
Director of Communications
Andrew Gillies is Director of Communications at the Center for Audit Quality. In this role, he implements the CAQ’s communications strategy and helps to oversee the CAQ’s commentary, editorial practices, media relations, public opinion polling, social media presence, and speechwriting.
Prior to joining the CAQ as Deputy Director of Communications in 2013, Gillies served as a Managing Editor at the Investment Company Institute, a global association of regulated funds. Previously, he was an Associate Editor at Forbes, where he reported on the impact of US federal policy on business, maintained Forbes.com’s “Business in the Beltway” channel, and produced a wide range of content related to markets and investing. Gillies has also held communications and editorial positions at the World Bank and Vault.com.
Gillies holds a BA in history from Brown University and an MA in French from Middlebury College.
