Statement on Appointment of New PCAOB Board

Washington, DC, November 8, 2021 –The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) is critical to audit quality in the U.S. The profession shares the PCAOB’s commitment to informative, accurate and independent audits. To that end, the CAQ applauds the appointment of a new board to lead the PCAOB and fulfill its important purpose of protecting investors and strengthening audit quality.
