CAQ Statement on Leadership Transition at Grant Thornton LLP

Washington, DC The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) issued the following statement from Executive Director Julie Bell Lindsay regarding Grant Thornton LLP’s announcement that Chief Executive Officer Mike McGuire will assume the role of CEO emeritus, effective August 1, 2019, and that Bradley J. Preber will serve as interim CEO:

“The CAQ thanks Mike McGuire for his steadfast service to the public company auditing profession as a member of the CAQ Governing Board. We wish him well in his new role at Grant Thornton.

“The CAQ also congratulates Brad Preber on his appointment as interim CEO. We look forward to working with both Mike and Brad during this period of leadership transition.”
