Washington, DC Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) Executive Director Julie Bell Lindsay issued the following statement after the US Senate confirmed Allison Herren Lee as a Commissioner at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC):

“The CAQ congratulates Allison Herren Lee on her confirmation as SEC Commissioner. Ms. Lee brings exceptional experience to her new role, as well as a time-tested dedication to SEC’s mission of protecting investors, maintaining fair and efficient markets, and facilitating capital formation. In her apt words, that mission is ‘vital to the economic well-being of Americans and American businesses.’
