Highlights From The Seventh Annual CAQ Symposium Breakout Discussions

Attendees from the public company auditing profession gathered with leading academics at the CAQ’s Seventh Annual Symposium, held on August 9, 2015 in Chicago. Consistent with the event’s broader theme, “The Audit and Engagement Team of the Future,” 2015 Symposium panels covered emerging technologies and data analytics, as well as the role of the auditor in light of growing interest in assurance around corporate responsibility and sustainability reporting. Symposium attendees also participated in breakout sessions to delve deeper into many of the issues raised during the panel discussion. The breakouts provided an opportunity for academics and practitioners to engage in a lively dialogue on these topics.
