CAQ Symposium 2016: Innovative Approaches to the Development of Auditor Talent

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

On August 7, 2016, top practitioners from the public company auditing profession gathered with leading academics at the CAQ’s Eighth Annual Symposium in New York. The event is a key part of the CAQ’s ongoing dialogue with the academic community on how research can help inform audit practice. As in past years, the 2016 Symposium included panel discussions on critical issues.

This Symposium panel explored how public company auditing firms are approaching their need for a diverse, technology-adept workforce, and addressing the demands of Millennial and Generation Z employees. The Symposium attendees also heard how some universities are integrating data analytics into their graduate and undergraduate curriculum.
