CAQ Congratulates Richard Howitt on Appointment as CEO of IIRC, Thanks Outgoing Paul Druckman

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Washington, DC – Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) Executive Director Cindy Fornelli congratulated Richard Howitt on his appointment as the International Integrated Reporting Council’s (IIRC) next CEO and thanked outgoing CEO Paul Druckman for his service:

“As the second-longest serving member of the European Parliament, Richard brings tremendous, hands-on expertise to his new role. Richard’s 22 years in public service and work on the EU’s non-financial information directive have prepared him well to lead the IIRC’s mission of improving corporate reporting.

“Special thanks to Paul for his more than five years of service leading the IIRC, where he made remarkable progress reshaping corporate reporting to better advance its transparency and relevance to investors.

“With Richard at the helm and the AICPA’s Barry Melancon as Chair of the Board, the IIRC is poised to build on this important work and successfully execute the next phase of its strategic plan.”
