The CAQ Congratulates Reappointed FASB Chairman and New Board Members

Washington, DC – Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) Executive Director Cindy Fornelli issued the following statement on the reappointment of Russell Golden as Chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the appointment of Marsha L. Hunt and Harold Monk as members of the Board.
“Russ is a proven visionary and effective leader of FASB, having overseen major accounting standard updates on important issues such as revenue recognition, leases, and credit losses during his first term. The CAQ congratulates him on his reappointment as Chairman.
“The CAQ welcomes Marsha Hunt and Harold Monk to the Board. Their experience in auditing and accounting will help to bring valuable perspectives as the Board considers financial accounting and reporting standards.
