Chris Alabi, CPA, ACA

CAQ Professional Practice Fellow
 

Chris Alabi, CPA, ACA, is a Professional Practice Fellow at the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ). In that capacity, he helps guide the CAQ’s professional practice and public policy activities as part of an 18-month fellowship that began in July 2017.

Prior to joining the CAQ, Alabi was a senior manager in PwC’s National Office. In this role, he was involved in working on complex auditing, reporting and attestation issues with audit teams, developing and maintaining the firm’s methodology, policies, tools, and templates and issuing guidance to enhance audit quality. 

Alabi also has served in the assurance practice of PwC in San Jose, CA and PwC UK. He has 12 years of experience serving a number of public and privately owned companies in both the US and Europe where he was focused on audits of companies in the technology and life science industries, with a special interest in biotechnology and medical device companies worldwide. Alabi has served in project teams where he led multinational audits and private and public equity offerings. He also served companies reporting under US GAAP, UK GAAP as well as IFRS, and has built cross border relationships with global teams. 

Alabi is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and a Certified Public Accountant in California. He is also a licensed Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, as well as a master of science degree in air transport management, and is a member of the UK Royal Aeronautical Society.
