Audit Committee Council

The CAQ’s Audit Committee Council (ACC)’s mission is to promote effective audit committee oversight through knowledge sharing and provide strategic direction to the CAQ regarding the tools, resources and thought leadership that enhance understanding and execution of audit committee responsibilities.

International Practices Task Force

The International Practices Task Force (IPTF) is a task force of the SEC Regulations Committee. The IPTF also meets periodically with SEC staff to discuss and focus on international emerging technical accounting and reporting issues relating to SEC rules and regulations.

Professional Practice Executive Committee

The Professional Practice Executive Committee (PPEC) works to provide a forum for member firms to express their views on technical and regulatory matters involving practice before the SEC and the PCAOB. The Committee also advocates positions on behalf of member firms and works to enhance the quality of their public company audit practices.

The SEC Regulations Committee meets periodically with SEC staff to discuss emerging technical accounting and reporting issues relating to SEC rules and regulations.

Smaller Firm Task Force

The Smaller Firm Task Force (SFTF) is a forum for smaller CAQ member firms to express their views, deliberate issues, and identify technical and regulatory matters involving smaller firm audit practice before the SEC and the PCAOB.

Global Public Policy Committee

The Global Public Policy Committee (GPPC) is focused on professional matters of global scope deemed to be priorities by their respective networks’ CEOs, such as the enhancement of quality in auditing and corporate reporting. The GPPC’s primary objectives are to participate constructively in matters concerning global public policy to advance the public interest and to enhance public confidence in the profession.
