Thursday, January 1, 2015
Published in 2014 jointly by the Center for Audit Quality and Audit Analytics, the Audit Committee Transparency Barometer presents findings from extensive analysis of audit committee disclosures in proxy statements and measures the robustness of these disclosures among S&P Composite 1500 companies. Public disclosures are the primary channel through which audit committees can inform and educate investors and other stakeholders about their critical responsibilities, and demonstrate their effectiveness in executing those responsibilities. The Audit Committee Transparency Barometer measures the content of proxy statement disclosures in certain key areas, including auditor oversight and audit committee scope of duties.
