Hyde comes to the Center from the National Governors Association (NGA) where he served as director of the Office of Communications. At NGA, Hyde oversaw strategic communications and media relations for the association, its Center for Best Practices and for the annual “Chair’s Initiative.” He was also responsible for the organization of news events involving governors and NGA staff.

Prior to joining NGA, Hyde directed communications efforts for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. Before that, he was a media relations specialist and media trainer in the Washington, D.C., office of Burson-Marsteller. A former broadcast journalist and congressional press secretary, Hyde is a graduate of Stonehill College.

At the CAQ, Hyde joins Bob Burns, director of research, Lillian Ceynowa, director of professional practices & member relations, Jane Cobb, director of operations, and Lori Schock, director of outreach.
