After reviewing proposals from around the world, the CAQ’s Research Advisory Board has selected its auditing-related research projects, according to a report in Thomson Reuters’ Accounting and Compliance Alert.
The publication noted that one of the five research projects selected for funding will support the work of Jacqueline Hammersley, an assistant professor at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, who recently received her Ph.D. Another award will underwrite the efforts of Brett Rixom, a doctoral candidate at the University of Utah.
“I’m happy the CAQ is supporting academic research,” Hammersley told Accounting and Compliance Alert’s Rob Lenihan. “I think it’s important and valuable.”
