Title: Technical Manager, Professional Practice and Member Relations

Purpose of Position:
To support the Professional Practice and Member Relations Activities of the Center for Audit Quality

Job Description:

  • Assist in the development of resources for public company auditors assisting them to either maintain or enhance the audit quality of their practices
     
  • Interact directly with executive-level individuals from public accounting firms of all sizes (large, medium, and smaller firms)
     
  • Work with regulators in resolving practice issues or questions from public company auditors
     
  • Research and develop communications to public company auditors based on current SEC and PCAOB developments and other relevant information for public company auditors
     
  • Develop technical content, tools and webcasts for auditors of public companies using a variety of resources and experts.
     
  • Ensure timely updates and maintenance of the members-only restricted website with information valuable to auditors of public companies
     
  • Provide effective and timely responses to public company auditor questions

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting
     
  • CPA license
     
  • Minimum of 4-5 years in public accounting or comparable experience
     
  • Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations, and PCAOB auditing standards
     
  • Understanding of SEC and PCAOB regulatory environment
     
  • Must be able to interact with executive-level individuals of public accounting firms
     
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
     
  • Excellent project management skills
     
  • Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
     
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and creative
     
  • Must be a team player
     
  • Excellent member services skills.
